The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Karnataka Police has apprehended two Nigerians for alleged drug trafficking and recovered drugs worth 5 lakh (N2,630,342.88) from them.
The accused Nigerians identified as Achunike Nwafor,36 and Augustine Okafor, 38, were nabbed in Rabindranath Tagore near Nagar Police Station area on Sunday, February 21, while waiting in a car for their clients.
“CCB of Karnataka arrested two Nigerian nationals for drug peddling in RT Nagar,” said Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) on Monday, February 22.
The officials confiscated 20 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of ecstasy pills along with six mobile phones from them.
A case has been filed under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Foreigners Act while further investigation is underway.
