Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has been moved to the criminal Intelligence department after he presented himself at the Ikeja police command on Monday.
This is coming after a viral video of him slapping a police officer surfaced on the internet.
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, had on Saturday ordered for his immediate arrest.
The IGP equally ordered a speedy and full investigation.
However, police could not find Seun when they visited his residence on Sunday. But on Monday, the singer surrendered himself to the police for investigation.
He was later transferred to the State Criminal Intelligence Department in Panti, Yaba area of Lagos state.
Seun Kuti was accompanied by Femi Falana, a senior lawyer.
The official outcome of the visitation is yet unknown as of press time.
