This comes after police officers acted on a tip-off report of bandits numbering about ten attempting to abduct travellers at Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road.
Mohammed Jalinge , Kaduna State Police spokesperson, said the patrol team attached to Buruku Division engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle and successfully neutralized the bandits who scampered into the forest with various degrees of bullet wounds and rescued all the occupants of the Volkswagen Golf vehicle.
Jalinge said they have intensified effort arrest the remaining fleeing bandits.
