My Govt Won’t Leave Any Region Behind in Development — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Monday reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive national development, saying no region in Nigeria will be left behind.

The President stated this during a meeting with a delegation of traditional rulers from the North-West, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to Tinubu, Nigeria’s diversity is its strength, and every part of the country deserves equal attention in terms of infrastructure, security, education, and economic growth.

“My government is for all Nigerians. We are building a country where no region or group will be excluded. Development must reach every corner of this nation,” he said.

Tinubu noted that his administration had initiated several policies aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, expanding access to education, and improving road and energy infrastructure across the six geopolitical zones.

He also assured the royal fathers that their concerns, particularly on insecurity and youth unemployment in the North-West, were being addressed through a multi-faceted approach.

“We are confronting the challenges of insecurity head-on. We are reforming our security architecture and ensuring that our security agencies are better equipped and motivated to protect lives and property,” he added.

The President urged traditional rulers to continue to play their vital role in maintaining peace and unity at the grassroots.

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, who led the delegation, expressed appreciation to the President for his engagement with traditional institutions and for prioritising development across the country.

“We are confident in your leadership and remain hopeful that under your government, our region and the entire country will witness sustainable growth,” the Sultan said.
