
Man identified as one Raphael Abraham escaped death by the whisker on Friday March 5, when a speeding tipper driver rammed into him and a Mercedes Benz at Eliozu Junction in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
It was learnt that the driver of tipper lost control when the traffic warden abruptly stopped the lane, forcing him to ram into the car, damaging the bumper beyond repair.
Occupants of the vehicle sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the hospital where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
The truck hit Abraham, who was standing by the roadside, very close to the scene of the accident and pushed him into a gutter but he miraculously survived with minor head injuries and bruises.
Meanwhile, the driver of the tipper has been moved to the Eliozu police station for investigation.
