The Gujba community of Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State came under Boko Haram’s attack on Saturday January 9, barely two days after the dreaded sect attacked the Geidam community in the state where they burnt down shops and carted away drugs in the hospital.
Adamu Bura, an eyewitness, who spoke to Channels Television, said the terrorists first laid ambush to a military patrol vehicle on the highway and later stormed the village setting some structures ablaze.
Bura said;
“They laid ambush to a military vehicle then later proceeded to the Gujba town. We have fled to the bush but we can see smoke everywhere.”
ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, Yobe police spokesperson, confirmed the attack but said the number of casualties is still unclear.
