Gov Umahi swears in four new Commissioners 20 days to end of his tenure

With less than twenty days before May 29 handover, Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi has appointed four new commissioners to his cabinet.

The newly appointed commissioners were sworn in on Tuesday, May 10, at the executive council chambers, government house, Abakaliki.

They are Enekwachi Akpa, former senior special assistant (SSA) to the governor on local government, chieftaincy matters and rural development; Obianuju Aloh, former SSA to the governor on aviation and technology; Emeka Nwode, former SSA to the governor on legal matters; and Uchenna Nwankpuma, former special assistant to the governor on projects.

The governor advised the commissioners to use the opportunity available to leave a legacy in their services to the state and humanity.

Umahi also received the 400 newly recruited staff of the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi state.

He appealed to them to exhibit the highest level of commitment and patriotism in the discharge of their duties, saying the airport is one of the prime projects of the state.
