Abubakar Shekau, wanted terrorist and factional leader of Boko Haram, has released a new audio in which he stated clearly that the newly appointed Security Chiefs cannot do better than their predecessors did in the fight against insurgency.

HumAngle has it that Shekau in the nine minutes audio message, said he heard about the retirement of the previous service chiefs and their replacement with new ones but that his message was to call them to Islam.

In the new message, Shekau mentioned the names and the roles of the new service chiefs and told them to repent because they can’t do anything to destroy his terror sect.

“Leo Irabor, the head of the military, you should have sympathy for yourself, repent and convert to Islam. There is nothing you can do,” Shekau said.

On Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, he said should not ”deceive” himself because he has a Muslim lineage.

“Even if you are Muslim but you conduct polytheistic practices, you are no longer a Muslim,” Shekau said.

A source close with the activities of Boko Haram told HumAngle that members of the sect are likely to conduct major operations to send a warning message to the incoming service chiefs that they are ready to fight.

President Buhari on Tuesday January 26, replaced the ex Service chiefs with new ones. Major-General Leo Irabor was appointed the Chief of Defence Staff and head of the military while Major-General Ibrahim Attahiru was appointed the new Chief of Army Staff. Rear Admiral A.Z. Gambo became the Chief of Naval Staff, and Air-Vice Marshal I.O. Amao is the new Chief of Air Staff.
