Members of the NKST Church, Achusa, Makurdi, Benue State, reportedly locked out their pastor and his supporters on Valentine’s day.
They ordered him to vacate his seat and leave the church on Valentine’s day, Sunday, Feb 14.
The Nation reports that the said church members, who were not comfortable with the pastor’s ways, also stopped him from conducting Sunday service.
They accused the resident pastor of practicing and preaching some strange doctrines
The members who turned up for Sunday service were also left stranded as they could not gain access into the church premises.
Pictures from the scene show stranded worshippers standing outside the locked gate, hoping to gain entrance.
The fired pastor and his supporters stood their grounds and said they will not leave.
Nevertheless, under the NKST church guidelines, only the Synod in Mkar, Gboko can sanction a residing pastor.
