Unknown armed men suspected to be kidnappers have taken the Jos reporter of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Abdulwab Babankanti, and three of his friends into captivity along the Bauchi-Jos highway.
A family source who disclosed the incident said Babankanti alongside other victims were kidnapped on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Toro community while on transit heading to Jos from Bauchi.
“We got to know of their abduction when the kidnappers called to confirm that they kidnapped them,” the source told The State of Plateau news portal.
He further said the kidnappers are demanding N10m ransom to free the victims.
