About 86 shops in Patiskum main market in Dogo Nini ward, Patiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State, were burnt down by fire.
Alhaji Nasiru Mato, the Chairman of Traders Association in the Market, who spoke with Daily Trust, said that the fire incident which happened on Sunday, January 8, around 8:36pm consumed properties and goods worth N40 million in the market.
Mato added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Here are photos from the scene below…….
