Kanye West’s school, Donda Academy has reportedly shut down operations with immediate effect following the rapper’s recent antisemitic remarks.

According to an email forwarded to parents, the principal of Donda Academy, Jason Angell, said that “at the discretion of our Founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year effective immediately”.

The email added, “THERE IS NO SCHOOL TOMORROW”, referring to today (October 27).7

West opened Donda Academy, named after his late mother, in Simi Valley, Calif., in August 2022, and the Christian school charged $15,000 tuition per year. The school also makes parents to sign nondisclosure agreements to prevent leaks about school activities and brochures.

While Kanye’s own children — North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3 do not attend his academy, West has challenged ex-wife Kim Kardashian vigorously to get them to enroll.

The Yeezy founder aged 45 once proposed his “idea” that their four kids change their schedule to three days at their current private school and two days at Donda Academy but that won’t now be possible this year as the school’s email said it planned to “begin afresh in September of 2023.”

“Our leadership team will be working diligently to assist all families during this transition, ensuring that every scholar has what they need to succeed in their next community in a prompt and gracious manner,” Angell’s email concluded.

“We are confident that our scholars will continue to advance as the creative innovators, courageous influencers and academic leaders of the next generation.”

West’s business partnerships have been closing up at rapid pace in light of his offensive comments against Jews on October 8, with Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga all cutting ties with the artist.

He had alleged that the Jews control Hollywood and vowed to “go Defcon 3” on the Jewish people, apparently referring to the military readiness condition.

Adidas’ pullout from Kanye proved most financially harmful as it immediately knocked the rapper off Forbes billionaire list.
