Having gotten a point at Okigwe Township Stadium in a 1-1 draw against Abia Warriors in Nigeria Professional Football League fixture 25, Football Club Ifeanyi Ubah head into fixture 26 against Kwara United needing a compulsory victory to boost their relegation survival hopes.
The Anambra Warriors currently occupy the 18th position with 22 points from 25 games played so far, their worst run in club’s history.
And captain of the side, Uche Onuoha in his press reaction ahead of the game, said;
“We’re going into this fixture with a more relaxed mindset following our result against Abia Warriors and if we play Kwara United the way we approached the Abia side then victory is sure for us.
“Everyone is set for the tie owing to the fact that we’re playing a very good side and when you’re up against a side that is contending for the continental spot, you need to utilize every chance that comes your way to secure the victory.
“Also not forgetting our quest to survive relegation this term, that put us at the driving force to ensure we pick all the available points in our subsequent matches and hope that a nightmare season like this never repeats itself”.
