FC Ifeanyi Ubah centre-back, James Abel has said his side’s slow start to the season will witness a turn around when they take on Wikki Tourists later today.
Abel who stated this during a pre-game conference, added that their loss to Kwara United could be the end of the season. He stressed that all is going fine in the team, just that their best in the last six matches hasn’t been enough.
‘That’s how trickery the Soccer game can be, no one will go into any match expecting to lose, No! it doesn’t happen that way.
‘In all the six matches, we the players have given our best, though not good enough, and in all those matches, our performance has been quite evidenced in the results.
‘We’ve lost by a lone goal in all the four losses and I still have faith and believe in everyone here…..the confidence level in the team has since gone up and with our level of preparation and determination, I can assure everyone out there that victory over Wikki is what we can’t leave behind and it will stretch to all our remaining games and also, our loss to Kwara United last week could be our last on a long run..
‘Our position on the log will witness an upsurge, I’m really sure of that.
‘The team has no problem, everyone is doing well and we’re organized and focused on the big trophy of the day which is to cruise past Wikki’.
