In-form FC Ifeanyi Ubah attacker, Ekene Awazie bagged his 8th NPFL goal this term as the Anambra outfit smashed three past Adamawa United on Wednesday afternoon.
The win means FC Ifeanyi Ubah still remains 17th on the log with 31 points from 30 games, just two points below sixteenth-place Katsina United, having played one games less.
It was Awazie who broke the deadlock for the home side after 14 minutes from a brilliant left foot effort before 49 and 78 minutes strikes respectively from speedster, Nonso Nzediegwu and centre-back, James Abel sealed a victory for Uche Okagbue’s men.
It was the Anambra Warriors’ return to winning ways after a narrow away loss to Kano Pillars on Sunday and Awazie while briefing Lodgexpress during his post-game presser, said;
“I’ve always wanted to give the best of myself with Football Club Ifeanyi Ubah. It’s an honor rocking this shirt every week, it means so much to me.
“Every game is entirely different. Against Kano Pillars, it was more complicated because the pitch is different — there were a lot of things we could have done better which we didn’t and it cost us the game but here, we got back to scoring ways in the first half and that gave us room to play with more serenity and then kill off the game”.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah will jet to Katsina to take on Katsina United on Sunday for matchday 31.
