FC Ifeanyi Ubah defender and Nigerian international, James Abel has expressed optimism as his side takes on Heartland Football Club on Thursday, February 4, in Matchday 8 fixture of the ongoing Nigerian Professional Football League season.
Speaking with Lodgexpress ahead of the game, Abel, dubbed ‘Minister of Defense’, said his side is under no pressure facing Heartland, and that he’ll be delighted to help his team add more woes to his ex employers.
‘It’s always a good feeling having to face your former team and as it stands, we’re at the safer side going into this clash.
‘We’ve found our feet and gotten back to winning ways, Heartland clash will definitely be a superb one.
‘We’re so ready and optimistic we’ll scoop all three points, yea! it’s easy for us…the team’s spirit is high and everyone will get to see that.
‘Though I played for Heartland last season, I’m not under any form of pressure, they all know about me and what I’m made of, so they’re the ones under pressure.
‘They played away in their last game and they lost, we played at home and we won so you now see where the pressure pendulum is swinging to.
‘They’re going through tough moment and our job there will be to add more woes’.
