FC Ifeanyi Ubah played out a 1-1 draw against counterpart Adamawa United in the NPFL Matchday 10 fixture over the weekend.
Uche Okagbue, Coach of FC Ifeanyi Ubah handed Emmanuel Uchegbu, an highly rated teenage sensation, his first ever debut as a professional football player during the encounter.
The talented left-footed maestro who couldn’t hold back his excitement after the game said;
“I’m happy, feel delighted making my first ever appearance in a professional football game, it feels so good and I’m so glad I put in an excellent display when I was given the platform. It’s a dream of every player to play at the top tier of their country’s league and I’m delighted with my debut.
On playing full 90 minutes, Uchegbu said;
“Having to stay on the pitch for the entire game in a debut is one experience I can’t really explain, most players come on as substitutes on their first game but mine was different, I played in the entire game which is an indication of the trust and believe the coach has on me”.
Going on to advise young and aspiring football players, the teenage sensation said;
“Well my advise to the up and coming football players, I’d say never give up on your dreams, work hard, put God ahead and watch how things goes. Today it’s mine and tomorrow could be yours, it goes round and round”.
