Chidiogo Muoebunam, FC Ifeanyi Ubah prodigy, finally made his long awaited home debut for the Anambra Warriors since joining at the start of the season.
The playmaker was handed his home debut in 3-0 smashing of Adamawa United, coming on for goalscorer, Ekene Awazie in the 83rd minutes.
Muoebunam already dubbed the ‘next Thiago Alcantara’, was quick to gain control of the midfield, pulling out strings of impressive passes which forced the visitors backline to be on their toes immediately he gets the ball.
His touches towards the end of the game were absolute class for a young boy of his age. It didn’t take him long enough to dominate the midfield and win the hearts of many with his flashy touches and final passes, one of which was wrongly ruled for an offside.
Despite playing just 10 minutes, Muoebunam wrapped up a total of 80 per cent pass completion, two shots on goal, three tackles and four final key passes, more than any player of the visiting side.
He will be hoping his performance earns him a starting berth when they visit Katsina United this weekend.
